Timber Fencing
Perfect for simple boundary fences or for those who prefer the natural look of timber to some of the alternatives, timber fencing can be erected in a range of styles. The simplest type is referred to as Post & Rail or Stud fencing.
Post and Rail fencing can be clad with timber picket boards for a more closed in look that will also keep pets in, perfect for roadside installations where you dont need a tall fence.
If you need a larger fence, we can install timber Storm Fencing up to 1.8m high. These can be either single or double clad to create a strong yet natural garden boundary.

Note: All fencing timber used by World of Sheds is fully pressure treated with Pro-T preservative. This has an estimated lifespan of up to 7 years without further treatement. It is recommended to apply further preservative to the timbers of the fence periodically to help preserve and maintain the fence.
Post and Rail fences are erected with 100mm x 100mm timber posts and 2-4 100mm x 44mm timber rails. Posts are normally set at 2.4m intervals. Post and rail fences are available from 500mm to 1200mm heights.
Picket board cladding involves fixing upright timbers to a Post and Rail fence. Picket boards are normally 95mm x 16mm in size. Spacing between the boards can be adjusted to suit the project.
Storm fencing is clad with 150mm or 175mm x 22mm timbers, set horizontally and spaced to suit the project. Storm fencing can be clad one side only or on both sides in a hit and miss fashion to create a two sided fence where required.
Fencing Panels - Timber
The ideal moduler fence component. Timber fence panels are avaialble in a range of styles, both single and double sided, to suit your project.
Fence panels are 1.8m (6ft) wide and from 600mm to 1.8m in height. They can be installed with either timber, concrete or steel fence posts as required.

Double Picket Panels: Ideal for dividing gardens or anywhere that both sides of the fence will be seen. The Double Picket panels have space between the boards that allow wind to penetrate and reduce the stress on the panel over time. The individual boards of the panel can either be flat topped, pointed picket style or rounded, whichever you prefer. Picket panels can be ordered with 1 inch or 2 inch gaps.

Single Picket Panels: Single sided picket style fence panels are great as a simple fence with low wind resistance. Ideal for front garden installations or anywhere that privacy is not a consideration. Picket panels can be ordered with 1 inch or 2 inch gaps.

Butt Jointed Panels: Removing the gaps between the boards on the picket panels increases the privacy offered by the fence. Butt Jointed Panels can be ordered with flat, pointed or round tops on the boards and can be either single or double sided, as desired.

Yorkshire Board Panels: The Yorkshire Board panel offer an upgraded look to the simple Butt Jointed panels for those who want privacy. The Yorkshire Board panels are double layered like the Double Picket panels but all the boards are fixed on the same side of the panel, eliminating any gaps for a completely solid fence panel.

Weatherboard/Barrelboard Panels: Made from 22mm kiln dried timbers, the weatherboard/barrelbaord panels are the strongest and heaviest that World of Sheds can offer. The boards can be either vertical or horizontal, with strong lines making an elegant panel. The boards of these panels interlock for added strength and the kiln dried timbers are very water restistant so they will last for a good many years.
Note: All fencing timber used by World of Sheds is fully pressure treated with Pro-T preservative. This has an estimated lifespan of up to 7 years without further treatement. It is recommended to apply further preservative to the timbers of the fence periodically to help preserve and maintain the fence.
Timber fence panels are made with 70mm x 30mm timber frame rails and are nailed together, not stapled, for added strenght and durability.
Picket boards are normally 95mm x 16mm in size. Spacing between the boards can be adjusted to suit the project.
Weatherboard Panels are made from 150mm x 22mm, kiln dried, pressure treated timbers.
Composite Fencing Boards
Composite fencing is more durable and long lasting than timber fencing. Composite boards do not degrade over time with weather exposure in the same way that timber does. They also do not attract the same types of mould that can lead to discolouration of concrete fence panels.
World of Sheds offer composite board in 2 styles. The heavy panels are approx 300mm tall and 50mm thick with a square pattern for added strength. The surface is patterned to look like aged timber. The light boards are thinner, being approx 150mm x 25mm and having a woodgrain surface texture. Both styles are tongue and groove, designed to interlock to provide a solid fence when installed. Both styles are also available in either grey/black or brown colour. When paired with steel H-Posts, composite fencing gives a very modern, clean look to any garden.
World of Sheds sells the composite fencing either supply only or supplied and fitted by our partners.

Note: Composite Fence Boards are designed to fit into standard H-Posts with the addition of some additional frames and brackets to prevent them from rattling. Depending on the type of post and the type of boards, these frames may need to be purchased seperately. WoS can supply them with any order if needed.
It is not advised to cut composite fencing products with an angle grinder as the heat generated may lead to damage. If the composite boards need to be cut, it is best to use a regular saw.
Composite fence boards are between 1.8m and 1.83m in length.
Fence Posts
Different types of fence projects require different posts, World of Sheds supply fence posts in either timber, steel or concrete.
Timber posts are ideal for Post and Rail or Storm Fence installations. Concrete H-Posts are a workhorse and are suited to a wide variety of fence projects. Steel posts offer a more sleek, modern look than concrete H-Posts.

Note: All fencing timber used by World of Sheds is fully pressure treated with Pro-T preservative. This has an estimated lifespan of up to 7 years without further treatement. It is recommended to apply further preservative to the timbers of the fence periodically to help preserve and maintain the fence.
Timber fence posts are availble in 1.8m or 2.4m lengths and are usually 100mm x 100mm in size.
Concrete H-Posts are available in 1.8m, 2.4m, 2.7m or 3.0m lengths are are steel reinforced for added strength.
Steel H-Posts are avaialble in a selection of colours and are 2.4m in length.
Concrete Gravel Boards
Concrete Gravel boards are the base piece in most garden fencing. They are usually placed at the ground level of a fence to keep any timber panel elevated from the ground. They also locate and stabalise the posts making the fence strong and durable.
For those who want something more durable than Timber Fence Panels, you cant get much better than concrete. Either Plain or with a cut RockFace Pattern on the front, a gravel board wall offers the strength of a concrete wall with the ease of installation of a fence.
The Picket top piece is an optional upper finish for the rockfaced wall section. The Picket tops are 2ft high and so take the place of 2 gravel boards with a delicate bowed profile on the top to finish the wall.

Note: All concrete gravel boards supplied by World of Sheds are single sided. There will be one finished face, either plain or rock faced, but the rear will be rough.
All concrete gravel boards are steel reinforced for added strength.
Plain Gravel boards are normally 1.8m x 0.3m in size. The width is designed to match the width of the timber panels as the plain gravel boards are usually paired with a timber panel when installaed. Rockfaced Gravel Boards are slightly wider at 1.83m x 0.3m. This should be taken into account when ordering.
Gravel boards can be ordered with a dyed colour to suit certain applications. Dyed Gravel boards are special order and will attract a surcharge.
